Unlike previous games, where players were confined to a single location, Sister Location places them in the role of a late-night technician at Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rental – an underground facility that rents out animatronics for children's parties. However, these animatronics are far more advanced and dangerously unpredictable.
Each night presents new, unique challenges, requiring players to move between different rooms, crawl through ventilation shafts, and complete maintenance tasks – all while avoiding the deadly Funtime animatronics. Circus Baby, Funtime Freddy, Ballora, and Funtime Foxy each have distinct behaviors, forcing players to adapt their strategies to survive.
